Abstract

Six children treated with carbamazepine or valproate for benign epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (BECT), and followed at the Hospital de Cruces, Vizcaya, Spain, had an atypical and deteriorating course during therapy and a rapid remission when antiepileptic drugs were discontinued.
