Abstract

The anticonvulsant phenacemide (phenylacetylurea), discarded for 30 years because of serious toxicity, has been resurrected and used in the treatment of 13 children with refractory complex seizures at Loyola University, Maywood, and Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
